Nicolas, what are your symptoms/complaints and how much has meditation helped?

There is another way that you can stop porn addiction, chronic masturbation and recover your sexual health without fighting it with willpower. With the right mindset you won't even relapse. You can learn more about the recovery program here

The problem with eating so many eggs is cholestrol, make sure you keep that on check.

Each egg has roughly 215 mg of cholesterol. Four eggs a day, plus contributions from other sources, you do the math.

I’m bodybuilding for about 3 years now and I ussualy eat 3-4 eggs (whole eggs.. not just the egg white) daily…. even the most recent bloodwork has never ever shown anything wrong with the cholesterol nor cholesterol being closer to the top of the bracket.. quite on the contrary.. it was always very low.

    Talk about dietary myths…

    #16549

    Horace

How did you manage to get into bodybuilding and be bed ridden by POIS at the same time? Interesting.

Also it’s not a dietary myth. Eggs contain lecithin which lower absorption of cholestrol. So if you have a balanced diet, it can counter-act some of the cholestrol that you take in with eggs.

However, throwing 4 into your routine everyday is unhealthy if you don’t counteract it with proper nutrition.

Also you have to consider the amount of fat in eggs including 2 grams of saturated fat.

As the whole plan was suggested to not take in ANY carbs, you’re taking in too much cholestrol. You need fruits/veggies/good carbs to counter-act the amount of cholestrol from the fat that is being digested along with cholestrol.

Do some research on how cholesterol and fat does not cause cardio vascular disease. It’s all a myth. The body actually needs cholesterol to operate. The brain is made up of cholesterol.

It’s actually the sugar in our diets that is the issue. You only have to look at how everything is labelled as 99% fat free but yet is replaced with sugar to see where the problem is!

Explain how I lost weight on this diet yet I was consuming 250g of fats. They were good fats. Not all saturated fats are bad you know.

    And Some facts

1  Cholesterol is not a deadly poison, but a substance vital to the cells of all mammals. There are no such things as good or bad cholesterol, but mental stress, physical activity and change of body weight may influence the level of blood cholesterol. A high cholesterol is not dangerous by itself, but may reflect an unhealthy condition, or it may be totally innocent.

2  A high blood cholesterol is said to promote atherosclerosis and thus also coronary heart disease. But many studies have shown that people whose blood cholesterol is low become just as atherosclerotic as people whose cholesterol is high.

3  Your body produces three to four times more cholesterol than you eat. The production of cholesterol increases when you eat little cholesterol and decreases when you eat much. This explains why the ”prudent” diet cannot lower cholesterol more than on average a few per cent.

4  There is no evidence that too much animal fat and cholesterol in the diet promotes atherosclerosis or heart attacks. For instance, more than twenty studies have shown that people who have had a heart attack haven’t eaten more fat of any kind than other people, and degree of atherosclerosis at autopsy is unrelated with the diet.

5  The only effective way to lower cholesterol is with drugs, but neither heart mortality or total mortality have been improved with drugs the effect of which is cholesterol-lowering only. On the contrary, these drugs are dangerous to your health and may shorten your life.

6  The new cholesterol-lowering drugs, the statins, do prevent cardio-vascular disease, but this is due to other mechanisms than cholesterol-lowering. Unfortunately, they also stimulate cancer in rodents, disturb the functions of the muscles, the heart and the brain and pregnant women taking statins may give birth to children with malformations more severe than those seen after thalidomide.

7  Many of these facts have been presented in scientific journals and books for decades but are rarely told to the public by the proponents of the diet-heart idea.

8  The reason why laymen, doctors and most scientists have been misled is because opposing and disagreeing results are systematically ignored or misquoted in the scientific press.

If you have proper exercise you can eat how you like. 6 months of prison food didn’t interfere with my improvement, ‘cus exercise is more important than food.

that is true that cholesterol goes up most due to high carbs in the diet, especially sugar. Eating fats and cholesterol are in fact good for you.

One of the things mariano told me was to eat to never worry about eating animal fat, to eat whole eggs, to eat lard and butter instead of margerine etc etc.

he did tell me I needed to avoid carbs. Ill actually have results in like a month or two so will settle this debate once and for all.

The silent poison is the Saturated fat or trans fat[ hydrogenated fat mostly]

for me, eggs are the base of my nutrition….. and it should be for all of us [2-4 a day or more]

Butter is also a good source of minerals and vitmains…I discovered this when i was diagnosed with a low Vitamin D

    #16554

    Jesus

saturated fats are good for you

trans fats not and should be avoided at all costs

    #16555

I would say the silent poison is excesive sugar and white flour. Most people are clueless to their real effects. The FDA food pyramid is an absolute and utter joke. And people wonder why there is an obesity epidemic.

though saturated and trans fat in excess isnt good either.

No. Some saturated fat is good for you, a lot is bad for you.

    #16557

    Aldo

No. Some saturated fat is good for you, a lot is bad for you.

in any case a lot is bad for you

trans fat should be avoided totally though

i personally believe there is no problem consuming this daily:

3-4 whole eggs with the yolk, a beef steak with fat added, 3 tablespoons of coconut oil, and a tablespoon of organic butter

it’s no problem and will actually help in hormone production

Depends what the rest of your diet consists of.

The zones in which people live the longest in the world diets often do not consist of high fat. In Japan you have the okinawa islands and their diet is high in vegetables and tofu.

There’s an island off of italy called Sardinia their diet consists of mostly plant based.

    see this;

people in japan are low testosterone and girly though

I’d rather die earlier and be a meat eating ape

“The inhabitants of Okinawa, an island prefecture of Japan, are one of the longest-lived populations in the world. Their diet and lifestyle have been thoroughly studied for this reason. Papers typically focus on their consumption of vegetables, fish, soy, exercise, and the fact that some of them may have been mildly calorically restricted for part of their lives.

The thing that often gets swept under the rug is that they eat lard. Traditionally, it was their primary cooking fat, and they use it liberally. Of course, they also eat the pork the lard came from.

I’m not saying lard will make you live to 100, but it certainly won’t stop you… ”

just spinning your wheels looking for ‘answers’ and being in denial. If you’re young and suffer from sexual exhaustion, 90% of the time its because your genetics are crappy, and the lifestyle tipped you over. If they were strong, you would either recover quickly or not even get to this position in the first place. You need to change your signature if you want anybody to take you seriously.

for what its worth im following a similar diet to this guy by pure chance and the recomendation of DR. mariano. Im just doing it to make sure i dont get insulin resistant and because i cant afford to gain any more weight.

I dont think it will in any way heal my hormones or adrenals though thats more of that lets go all natural bullcrap.

I would say the vast majority of people is just some combination of overmasterbation drugs and stress that tips there body over into this cycle of sympathetic dominance and inflamation. Esentially thats what SE is.

NOT A CURE? That sounds like a warning

After 3 years of daily meditation practice I may say it’s pretty much the most important thing, at least has been for me. Meditation is the healing mode of the human body and mind. You need to slow down the physical and mental activities to activate the parasymphatetic nervous system, which is fundamental to healing of any kind. The problem is, we’re constantly dominated by symphatetic system since we’re so stressed out with all the chronic bodymind tension. You can take all the supplements you want, but if you don’t have the ability to meditate, there is no true balance in your nervous system.

How did you learn to medidate? any usefull tips/tricks?

Also what I posted from Chilln was a response in my own thread. It was a theory about what was happening to me. I didn’t just take it for what it was, it backs up Frenchi’s theory which is why I posted it. Also Chilln references just about everything he posts.

My friend, the trick is… wait for it…

    DAILY PRACTICE!

Repetition is the mother of learning.

You really need to experience what works for you since there are so many different approaches to attaining the meditative state of mind. You may wanna read some information from books and internet. Zen and zazen will give you good start.

    WARNING:

It’s a lot of work for sexually exhausted. Meditation is an impossible task with the rigid body and bankrupt nerves that comes with excessive sexual pleasures. Sexual indulgence will make you a nervous wreck, and meditation will make you a peaceful buddha, so they don’t go together really well, lol. So you need a lot of patience. It may seem like you are not doing much improvement but things will speed up.

You need to be very healthy until you can actually succeed in meditation. So by the time you can do it, you are healthy!

You can consider some of this variables in your practice:

    Position:

    -Sitting (chair or crosslegged)

-Lying (falling asleep is not the idea however)

-Standing (learn the proper way to stand effortlessy)

    Eyes:

-closed (easier to concentrate on bodily feelings since you block one sense out)

-open (this will keep you very attentive, but it’s hard)

    -half open (somewhere inbetween)

-keep your eyes steady and relaxed, don’t move them

    Object of concentration:

-Breath (notice the flow of air in your nostrils lungs, and the tubes between them)

-Body (feel your body, and how each in breath expands it. let all parts of your body expand. you will see, that some places don’t want to expand because of blockages. on exhale, relax everything)

-Mind (being aware of stream of thoughts and the silence inbetween thoughts and other patterns is more advanced)

-Nothing (also you can do it without any object of concentration, this is relaxing and the time will go quick)

-Mantra (you can use the repetition of any relaxing word or syllable to make the mind busy from thinking too much

-Staring (you can use and visual object to stare one-pointed. also i think this is hard because SE makes the eyes weak.)

Keep the spine erect and everything relaxed. Do not react to any thoughts… Thoughts are not an obstacle. You just have to be aware of them, but don’t comment on them any way. Just let them rise and fall, your “deeper self” (awareness) stays at peace whatever it sees. Apply this to your everyday life and nothing will take your peace of mind away!

OK it was quickie, hope it gets you started. If you have more specific questions let me know and I’ll try my best.
