I quit masturbating and looking a porn all together about a month ago. I have been noticing certain nights where I’ll wake up from sleep with an erection, which hasn’t happened in almost a year. However, the other night I actually ejaculated in my sleep. I am just wondering if this is part of the healing process. I feel like my body is running haywire right now and doesn’t know what to do with the new lifestyle I have decided to live. I am just wondering if anyone else experiences this kind of thing. Is there going to be a point when I get my nocturnal erections back consistantly and why can’t I get a normal erection while awake? I could have a girl completely naked on top of me and not get hard but for some reason at night I am able to get an erection. It’s like my mind is getting in the way of something that should naturally happen. Comments? There is another way that you can stop porn addiction, chronic masturbation and recover your sexual health without fighting it with willpower. With the right mindset you won't even relapse. Everything you experience during the abstinence / exercise / superfood period is a part of the healing process. Healing takes place on several levels, such as physical and mental. Nocturnal emissions are completely normal. You may have them in the start but eventually those will fade away.
You don’t get normal erections because your body wants to heal, not to F*ck. Nocturnal erections maybe caused by deep relaxation (improved circulation), not sexual excitement. You can actually have erections by deep breathing.September 14, 2013 at 8:23 pm #4615

I face the exact same thing. If I stop ejaculating to porn I start getting nocturnal erections after a day or two. And it is consistent. But I cannot get erections while I am fully awake.
I have been banging my head to try and understand what is going on but I cannot figure this out at all. I really appreciate if some one can explain this.September 14, 2013 at 8:24 pm #4617
You should get some more blood work done HC, it maybe as simple as the balance between e2/testosterone and high prolactin levels. I’ve heard of guys having out of range e2 levels and after taking either (DIM) or Armidex for a couple weeks that their morning erections came back strong as ever. Their libidos returned to normal as well.September 14, 2013 at 8:25 pm #4619
I’ve been doing some thinking on this one and my conclusion to this conceptual analysis is this, at night while you are asleep your subconcious takes over and then you are able to have erections. While in the awake state this is your concious mind and all the masturbation could have played some psychological role by forming a protective measure some how as a learned response over time after putting the body through much stress. At night you are not under any stress so there are no stress related responses while in the subconcious, plus you are completely relaxed. In some cases people have viewed porn so much without not taking any breaks from it they have taught the mind to be extremely bored of it and when it comes to exposure there is no stimuli although you may not currently be ejaculating and have been abstaining on that part but you may still be viewing the porn. Many sexually exhausted peoples get all their blood work done only to find they have no hormonal imbalances but yet they still cannot get an erection. Could it be reverse psychology is the only way to unlearn the mind of what it has been taught. I think personally that for those individuals that have no hormonal imbalances it may take a long time of no ejaculation and no porn viewing to get back to their prior state. Like I said for some you may have stopped ejaculating but you are still viewing and you most likely will have to refrain from both to see results. Just think if you went 6 months to a year of not looking at a nude pic or ejaculating and when that day has came around and you do view that naked body for the first time all over again then your heart will go pitter patter and you will get that adrenalin rush all over again then the blood will rush to your penis like the opening of a flood gate and you will have a ROD of IRON with High Caliber Class. Looks like I got carried away here but this is just my thoughts on this.September 14, 2013 at 8:26 pm #4621
Yea, I believe what you are saying is completely correct. The porn has desensitized us to becoming aroused at the sight of a real girl. However, I have not looked at porn while I have been abstaining. I went to my doctor last week and got my blood tested but I’m still waiting on the result. Hopefully he will find something. If not, then you are probably right and I need to retrain myself to getting erections with real girls. Not sure how to do that but I am definitely going to try.
