    This combination is supposed to be great in treating erectile dysfunctions according to recent studies. L-arginine works by increasing nitric oxide and the pycnogenol is supposed to greatly increase its absorbtion and its effects with many more benefits. I just started taking the two the other day and am hoping to acheive better stronger normal erections. Anyone ever heard or tried this combo before? Here are some studies I found on it.

    Penile erection requires the relaxation of the cavernous smooth muscle, which is triggered by nitric oxide (NO). We investigated the possibility of overcoming erectile dysfunction (ED) by increasing the amounts of endogenous NO. For this purpose, we orally administered Pycnogenol, because it is known to increase production of NO by nitric oxide syntase together with L-arginine as substrate for this enzyme. The study included 40 men, aged 25-45 years, without confirmed organic erectile dysfunction. Throughout the 3-month trial period, patients received 3 ampoules Sargenor a day, a drinkable solution of the dipeptide arginyl aspartate (equivalent to 1.7 g L-arginine per day). During the second month, patients were additionally supplemented with 40 mg Pycnogenol two times per day; during the third month, the daily dosage was increased to three 40-mg Pycnogenol tablets. We obtained a sexual function questionnaire and a sexual activity diary from each patient. After 1 month of treatment with L-arginine, a statistically nonsignificant number of 2 patients (5%) experienced a normal erection. Treatment with a combination of L-arginine and Pycnogenol for the following month increased the number of men with restored sexual ability to 80%. Finally, after the third month of treatment, 92.5% of the men experienced a normal erection. We conclude that oral administration of L-arginine in combination with Pycnogenol causes a significant improvement in sexual function in men with ED without any side effects.”

    been searching around for supplements that are supposed to work by helping support sexual health rather then ones that enhance/stimulate it which they all seem to claim to do. I find that many of the supplements out there even including herbal aphrodisiacs claim to work by “stimulating” the sex organs in your body rather then healing them. The word stimulate scares me because to me it sounds like another word for Forcing. I am looking for longterm benefits here not a quick fix. In other words, Im not trying to whip the horse any harder then I have already done. Anyway the supplementing with L-arginine and pycnogenol sounds pretty safe and healthy to me because for one, arginine is a non essencial amino acid which the body naturally gets everyday from foods and by increasing its intake a little can only help right? Just like vitamin supplementing. And as far as the pycnogenol, I read so many good health benefits about it even for other issues that I got going on like skin rashes, vision problems, and memory, .. try googleing it. Ill tell you one thing though, the stuffs not cheap. cost me like 30 bucks for one months supply.

    If you use “Yang” herbs then they will stimulate. You should first use “Yin” herbs that work on restoring before moving towards “Yang” herbs. The herbs are fine, its just that we need to use it correctly.

    Arginine has long been a supplement for helping erectile dysfunction, but consuming too much has the opposite effect by lowering testosterone and increasing prolactin. This only happens when you consume too much arginine. It is true that some of us may be lacking in arginine (aswell as its metalobite – agmatine, which acts as an inhibitory neurotransmitter against glutamate) so taking arginine supplements could help greatly, just don’t expect too much and don’t consume too much. Infact, for erections it is pretty useless without sufficient acetylcholine as there will be poor nitric oxide release. You will notice improvements taking arginine, but nothing major if you do not have sufficient acetylcholine. Like with anything in this world, too much is bad and too little is bad, which applies to both arginine and acetylcholine.

    I can’t afford a lot in the way of supplements right now, but I am really looking forward to using DMAE and Phosphatidyl Serine combined for increasing acetylcholine concentrations. Theoretically erections should improve dramatically. Im pretty sure my acetlycholine is low because my memory and concentration is fucked lately.

    Wow! So you took 6grams of Arginine per day. That’s a lot. But I am glad to know that it improved your erections. I would actually say that your erections going from 4’o’ clock to 3 ‘o’ clock position is significant improvement. I would die to even get a 5 ‘o’ clock erection.

    In how many days did you notice this positive difference?

    I abstained for a week whilst taking it, so it took a week for me to notice effects. Infact, in the first week I was on 3g a day and started taking 6g in the second week. Seems to have been minor improvement on it since then though, but im still maintaining the 3 o’clock erection. Im hoping DMAE and Phosphatidyl Serine combined will improve things further, but I wont be able to find out for a while because I can’t afford it right now.

    Thats what im doing 3 grams a day along with the 100mg of pycnogenol though. Its been 4 days now since beginning the program and so far ive noticed a bit more energy throughout the day. Also my drive feels higher but that could also be from me abstaining for the last 4 days as well. Im gonna hold out for about a week I think.

    Curious, when you begin taking the DMAE and Phosphatidyl Serine, will you also supplement them with l-arginine as well? I am interested in this combo as my memory and concentration could use some improvement as well. Actually a lot. Thanks for the reply

    when you say weak erections what exactly do you mean? can you get it up at all? if so what angle?

    voodoo’s erections improved from 4 ‘o’ clock angle to 3 ‘o’ clock. For me, I cannot get it up at all.

    Once you abstain for 3-6 weeks you will find 10-20% improvement, and after reaching 4-6 months you will be a bit better lets say 30-40% percent if your case is severe….will abstaining you need to eat healthy food and add some supp if needed. Exercises Mildly ex: Walking… because heavy exercises may make your case worse

    abstaining wont cure all the symptoms but it will guarantee you that you case wont get worse and it will give your body the right rest to restart again after the mass mutation happened via the Over masturbation.

    When I have finished taking L-Arginine I doubt I will continue to dose with it. I have noticed improvements, but I cannot see it advancing. Over-masturbation and/or stress/anxiety deplete your stores of L-Arginine over time so supplementing it for a while should should help restore it. There after I should be getting enough in my diet and will not need to supplement it. There is nothing to stop you from taking the combination of all 3, but in my case I don’t think it will be necessary. I think the L-Arginine has done all that it can do, but increasing Acetylcholine should improve things further. L-Arginine metabolises into nitric oxide, but Acetylcholine will increase the rate of its metabolism making more nitric oxide available, thus increasing your erection strength. Its kind of like having filled your car with fuel, but not having the ability to press the accelerator all the way. The fuel is there, but you can’t burn it very fast.

    Sorry for the delayed response guys lost my internet connection the last few days from a huge snow storm we had.

    , I can get an erection at a 3oclock angle but my problem lately has been keeping it there. There are times when I gain an erection and then lose it shortly after. Im talking about before ejaculation. This has been happening to me every now and then during masturbation but it recently happened to me during intercourse with this girl that I used to go out with where I was able to get an erection, began having sex and lost the erection shortly after and then could not get it back up to save my life afterwords! It was embarasing as hell let me tell you. My confidence has litterally been destroyed over this moment! I dont know why this happens we had sex before this with no problems. I am 25 by the way.

    shell, thanks for the advice. I think abstaining will help greatly as my body can surely use the rest right now. I have been masturbating on average like once everyday for the past 11 years. The longest ive ever abstained was 2.5 weeks and it wasnt easy. I would like to go atleast a month now.

    I have a 100g pack. Once it is used I think that will be enough for now. The effects should last so long as your diet contains enough L-Arginine.

    Well this did nothing for me.

    4 months on 100mg of pcynogenol together with 1300mg of AAKG (supposedly far more powerful and relevant than taking the basic form of L-arginine) and never noticed a thing. Not a sausage. Not a twitch. Was an expensive supplement too.

    Well, All what i know is that pycengol increase the blood flow

    while Arginine increases the Nitric oxide… so both work in the blood flow thing

    if you have hormonal or Nerves issue then its hard to achieve any result
