These 2 links are excellent to understand the mechanisms of addiction, why it has impacted us negatively, and how to get out of this mess.

This is TIME’s explanation of addictions in general:,31813,1640235,00.htm

This site is targeted specifically for porn addiction. It has tons of useful information specifically with regards to brain rebooting and rewiring.

From what I have gathered we have essentially burnt out our Dopamine Receptors (D2) via excessive stimulation from porn use. A major part of recovery is to successfully restore these receptors… and that takes time. A lot of time. In general people that have low D2 receptors feel numb as their reward circuitry is burnt out and it takes a long time for it to come back. They lose patience as their craving for a high is not met and end up using the substance (porn, drugs) that originally gave them the high and subsequently burn out more receptors. It is a perpetual cycle and this in essence is Addiction!!

I believe that our recovery depends on the following:

    1) Brain rebooting and rewiring

    2) Nutrition

    3) Hormonal Balance

    4) Optimal Neurotransmitters

It takes a ton of effort, time, and patience to accomplish the above four but if we manage to pull it off I think we should in reasonably good shape.

There is another way that you can stop porn addiction, chronic masturbation and recover your sexual health without fighting it with willpower. With the right mindset you won't even relapse. You can learn more about the recovery program here

but the results will take time to show up, any fallback will be costly by that time.

i have planed for porn draw a year ago, my plan is to reduce porn every period till i reach a stage where if stressed i wont fallback again.Unlike the quick drop of porn, 2-3 weeks and if stress i relapse and things becomes to bad which screw the overall progress.

    good links HCP
